64% of the top iOS apps are available on WIndows Phone Store!

According to a study conducted by software company Infragistics,64% of the top iOS apps are available on Windows Phone Store. Android which dominates the global smartphone market share has 98% of the top 100 apps on iOS platform.Windows Phone Store has now presently over 1,60,000 apps. But the numbers are not too bad as the platform is still growing.

Though we don't have official apps, Windows Phone Store has some great alternatives to try instead of the native ones. Also official apps like Google Maps, YouTube, etc by Google are missing from the platform. But we do hope that the percentage will surely increase as popular apps like Flipboard ,Path,Vine ,Mint, etc are coming to Windows Phone platform. Also we have reports that Microsoft and Google are working on a YouTube official app. We also heard that Microsoft and Nokia are forcing developers to make apps for the platform. If the conditions are positive, Windows Phone will have more apps out of these 100 ones.!

Check out the list of top 100 apps listed in the survey from here.

So what do you think?

  3. Thanks wp-hub team for sharing it here. Nice data once again; Great news for Windows Phone.

And as the article rightly pointed, its true that rather than just having numbers of apps (and boasting about it ;) ) its actually the right apps that people would be using and really need it. If two third of iOS are never downloaded (and we never know about those Apps on Android) then its no point publishing "nonsense" applications.

Hope Nokia and Microsoft listen to their customers through official-unofficial blogs and forums to bring in the right "TRENDSETTING" apps and super duper OS updates.

Last not but least, Am with you Roadking and Windows Phone lovers..... I would want to see Windows Phone on the left most side of the table of the article ;) :D.

  4. I truly like the way of presentation here and I found these are the best apps to have in any on theirs own smartphones of choices and as I found that iPhone are the best choice to have that it has many useful apps to get downloaded. Its true that windows has limited apps but sooner they would reach with good numbers as the cross platform development has increased.
